WE LOVE YOU BUT WE CAN’T HUG YOU/LETS STAY SAFE TOGETHER

Although we love our salon community and are used to an open door and welcome all. We are committed to best practices for your safety.

Our salon is opening its doors June 3rd.

It is our intention to keep you and our team safe.

We will do this by limiting the number of people in our space. 

We ask that you don’t bring any others or children to your reserved appointment. We will be reducing the use of stations, limiting the amount of traffic in the salon. We also ask that you limit the number of belongings to your appointment and no pets allowed at this time.

We are Phase 3 certified by the City of Chicago and West Loop. Additionally our entire team has received their Barbicide Certification.

WHEN BOOKING APPOINTMENTS
  • We will be operating cashless. Credit cards or will be held for payment in your client profile to minimize contact during checkout.

  •  Gratuity will be accepted via stylists personal Venmo or our virtual Tippy Kiosk , no ATM use available at this time.

  •  Our Salon Coordinators will connect you to your service provider via email. Your service provider may set up a pre-appointment consultation via facetime/zoom/email to plan for your service as well as recommended products. 

  • Our 24 hr cancellation policy is currently waived. You may forfeit your appointment if you are late for your reserved time.  You will be responsible for payment of service costs of an appointment missed due to tardiness or not showing up.

  • If you have had a cough or fever in the last 72 hours please stay home for 10 days. If you have been around someone who has had a cough or fever in the last 72 hours, please stay home. We are not accepting sick guests.

  •  Prior to your appointment we will be sending you a consent form that needs to be reviewed and signed in order to enter our space.

TO PLAN FOR YOUR RESERVED APPOINTMENT
  • Our team members will be wearing masks and face shields. We do require that you wear a face mask as well. Our team will have their temperature taken prior to their shift. Employees who show flu-like symptoms will be required to stay home until they are symptom-free.

  •  We will kindly ask that we take your temperature before your appointment by using a “no contact” thermometer. If your temp is above 99.9 we will wait a bit, take your temp again, if it is still high, we will gladly help you reschedule your appointment.

  •  As you arrive, we ask that you wait in your car if possible, or outside weather permitting. If neither are an option, we do have room to social distance 6 ft apart in the space while waiting if needed. 

  • We are implementing an option to text the salon so you can let us know you are here. We will then respond back to let you know to come inside. At this time we are not accepting walk-ins. We are not allowing pets in or guests to bring their children along at this time.

  • Once inside we will ask that you immediately wash your hands for 20 seconds while our service providers do the same. 

  • If you bring a coat we will have you hang it near your service providers station. 

  • Your service will begin!

UPON CHECKOUT

We will confirm your next appointment, gather your purchase and let you know your total. We will then complete your cashless check out.

We will accept all major credit cards as well as Venmo @solosalon for payment. 

NEW THINGS TO EXPECT DURING YOUR SALON EXPERIENCE

We're still Solo! Just a few things will be new. 

  • No hugging or shaking hands (air hugs all day long!). Hand will be washed before and after each appointment. 

  • Each stylist has their own tools and will be disinfected before and after each guest. Hand sanitizer will be at every station and all service providers have been required to take a Barbacide Certification. Barbicide containers for disinfecting tools are at every station (10 mins of contact time) and Barbicide Wipes used between every appointment on chairs (2 mins of contact time).Disinfectant spray will be used on every shampoo bowl. 

  • We will be cleaning/sanitizing all community spaces. As well as our products, furniture and surfaces. This includes storing all towels and capes in closed containers. We will have disposable liners for laundry bins. All items will be washed after every use. 

  • We will no longer have magazines or self-help beverage centers (we will serve water upon request).

  • our dressing room and self service blowdry room will be closed.

  • Blow Dry's are complimentary, while usually always added with our haircuts they will be optional at this time per guest and/or stylist.

  • The shampoo area will be a "no talking" zone and both service provider and client will use face shields and masks. 

  • We would like to inform you there will be a  fee of $3  due to our elevated mandates and our extensive supply of PPE.

Our salon is well stocked with disinfectants, sanitizers and cleaning supplies.

We are following a rigorous cleaning schedule to ensure all stations, high-touch surfaces, towels, capes and products are disinfected on a regular basis.
