Bad Hair Day

Updated: Sep 9, 2018

“Wake up in the morning feeling like P Diddy”…after a night of putting back some bottles of Ciroc at the clerrrb. Girl, the back of your bedhead looks ridiculous! That cowlick is like your girlfriend who is on a thirty day bender after breaking up with her boyfriend, and you’re just like, CALM DOWN. Let’s face it, everyone has bad days and because your hair is an extension of you, it’s allowed to have its days too. Here’s a few fool proof tips/tricks on how to keep that mane in check:

1. Dry Shampoo

First thing’s first, let’s get control back with some dry shampoo. The only thing worse than hair that won’t cooperate is greasy hair that won’t cooperate. Like, the wet look is not cute unless it’s one hundred percent intentional, mmmkay? My suggestion to you would be to get you a texture based dry shampoo. This way, you’ll have fresh roots and room for a little pliability when styling

We’ll get to the styling next, but Rome wasn’t built in a day, and your hair can’t be built into something wearable without a little product foundation.

2. The Half-Up, Half-Down

Guys, Stephanie Tanner wore this look for years, and she looked GOOD. I want you guys to look GOOD. The classic half-up, half-down hairstyle is back, and it has the ability to hide all of your hair’s woes. The best part is how simple it is to create. There’s no twisting and no braiding required. It’s just you, a hair-tie and a half pony, y’all! Drawn a line with your fingers from the top of your ears to the crown of your head, separate the top hair from the remaining hair on the bottom, and tie up that top section.

You can leave it sleek or scrunch it to the top of your head so the Gods can see what you’re workin with. Do you and also do what your office environment will allow:)

3. The Accessories

If your hair is just too extra, and you freaking CAN’T WITH IT, put a hat on. Ain’t no shame in a hat game. The preferred hat of the Solo Fam is our Solo brand beanie which is on sale for $15 at both locations. Join the crew!

Also on the accessories radar are headbands. Mark my words, these are gonna come back in a big way. We adore fun throwback styles such as this padded headband!

The thing about accessories that is really cool is that you can have so much fun with them! They are an important detail in the story of your full look, so if you’re hair is taking the day off, you should definitely seize the opportunity to say a little something mysterious, quirky, or frisky about your look with a head accessory.

If all else fails and a paper bag is really your only option, come into Solo for a blowout! We’ll recycle the paper bag for you AND send you off with voluminous curls or sleek, head turning strands. Whatever your mood calls for, Solo has got your back! Now, GO FORTH AND CONCUR the bad hair days. After all of these tips, I’m kinda hoping for a baddie soon here…kinda.
