Lollapalooza Braid Bar at W Hotels

Lollapalooza is by far the biggest event of the summer in Chicago!  We had a blast braiding during the four day festival at both Chicago W Hotel locations, W Lakeshore and W City Center.  We braided and bedazzled hair, and Nicolette was also onsite for nail art.  We loved meeting new friends and helping everyone get festival ready each day.  A special shout out to Ashley of Body Bauble, for sharing some of her sweet face gems with us, so we could add the final touch for festival-goers!

Pitchfork Braid Bar at Free People

Earlier this spring, Free People opened their doors in The West Loop and we couldn't be more excited!  As some of you may remember, a few years ago we started popping up at braid bars at Free People in Wicker Park.

This year we got to partner with our new neighbors and braid heads for Pitchfork !

Lollapalooza is the next festival that we will be doing pop-ups for braid bars.  Come and see us at W Hotel City Center location and W Hotel Lakeshore location, as well as Freehand Chicago and Revival Food Hall.  We will also be offering nail art at a few braid bars that weekend!  Keep an eye on our Instagram page for updates on what times we will popped up and where!

Randolph Market Opening Weekend

You know it's officially summer in the city when the Randolph Street Market pops up outside!  We were honored to be a part of the grand opening of the outdoor markets, including a Garden Party VIP Breakfast.

Guests were invited to sip on mimosas and Passion House Coffee, as well as enjoy breakfast bites by Momotaro, Bombo Bar and Sugar Hills Bakery! David and Janine were onsite for complimentary braids, and Flowers For Dreams gave away mini bouquets to everyone who attended. We couldn't have asked for better weather or more beautiful heads of hair!

We got ready for another season of braided styles and festival-ready hair with our first braid bar of the season!  Hosted by Bow and Arrow Collection, a super cute new gift store, the two day event also featured pie from Bang Bang Pie , cocktails by Cocktail Courier , pink beer by Hopewell Brewing and a pop up with Lost Girls Vintage.  It was quite the party! Check out these photos from the day:

Color Me Happy

Stylist and colorist, Seamus recently created a colorful transformation for Mckenzie.  Originally a warm blonde,  Mckenzie was looking to mix things up.  Here are the gorgeous results!

Mckenzie was used to having funky colors, so I wanted to soften her a bit and give her something that was edgy, but grown up.  We went with a rose gold for her base with tones of orchid and blush for her highlights.  The highlights where done in a hidden panel so she could conceal them for work.  - Seamus
